We are an approved contractor for major national facilities management client ‘Mitie Plc’ where have undertaken various lifecycle works such as :-
Replacing internal damaged 30 mins and 60 mins fire doors to help ensure the school in ‘Darlington Education Centre’ is keeping within the building regulations and health & safety legislations. All internal fire doors are bespoke sizes and measured and installed accurately so its fits within the existing door openings and apertures.
‘Haughton School in Darlington’ was experiencing numerous break-ins from the public/kids where they would climb an existing external fire escape ladder onto roof spaces which would obviously cause a major issue for safety and security for the school. We were addressed and instructed to design an anti-climb ladder cage system, that would prevent the intruders from climbing the ladder but also still form an emergency access route for fire escapes down the ladder. The external cage system was also designed to keep within the school environment grounds, making it still appearing for the eye of the staff and students from an aesthetic point of view.
We have replaced over 100 metres of external security fencing to ‘Darlington Education Village’ which involved removing existing 2 metre palisade fencing, which was unsuitable for security purposes for the school and replacing with new powder coated 6 foot palisade fencing, complete with 6 no. access gates. All groundworks were made good to match existing finishes and all these works were complete in under 1 week.
